DOREL INFANT CAR SEATS AND CARRIERS

In the latest product recall involving risk of serious injury to children, the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of almost 500,000 car seats and infant carriers. The car seats were made by Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc. but were sold under various well-known brand names, which are listed below. When used as an infant carrier, the child restraint handle to the car seat can loosen and come off, posing a fall hazard to the babies. At least 77 reports of handle failure have been reported. The car seats pose a risk of serious injury, including brain trauma.

This recall involves car seats sold under the brand names of Safety 1st, Cosco, Eddie Bauer and Disney. The model numbers include the following:
